I hadn’t heard of Sidney Meteyard (1868-1947) until I came across his
I am half sick of shadows, said the Lady of Shalott. He was one of the later artists working very much in the Pre-Raphaelite style and was apparently a friend of both William Morris and Sir Edward Burne-Jones. The Burne-Jones influence is fairly clear.
